Yew (Taxus baccata) is a dense native evergreen with extremely dark green leaves. A superb tree but probably best known as one of the finest evergreens. It is also a terrific subject for topiary. Yew cone topiary shapes with height up to 175cm are available containerised all year round. Yew cones over 175cm are typically supplied as rootballs. Taxus baccata, commonly known as the English yew, is a venerable evergreen tree with a rich history and remarkable characteristics. This coniferous species, native to Europe, has dark green needles and striking red berries, but it is perhaps most renowned for its distinctive cones.
