The Red Cappadocian Maple, also known as the 'Caucasian Maple' is an ornamental Acer known for its brightly coloured foliage. Younger leaves are a deep shade of red, providing a burst of rich colour in the spring. Older shoots will transition to green in the summer, returning to red for the autumn season. A medium-to-large sized tree (growing to an ultimate height of 12 metres) with an attractive rounded shape; the Red Cappadocian Maple is an ideal feature tree for larger gardens.
The Red Cappadocian Maple tree favours full sun/partial shade (more sunlight produces more vibrant coloured foliage), with moist but well drained soil.
