Quercus ‘New Madrid’ -12L pot

Quercus ‘New Madrid’ – A hybrid Oak Known for it’s resilience. Reddish leaves in the autumn.

Quercus ‘New Madrid’ is a unique hybrid oak tree known for its resilience and adaptability, particularly in the Midwest region of the United States. This cultivar is a result of a cross between Quercus macrocarpa (bur oak) and Quercus alba (white oak), combining the best traits of both species. The ‘New Madrid’ oak is distinguished by its robust growth, drought tolerance, and disease resistance, making it an excellent choice for urban and rural landscapes alike. Its leaves are large and lobed, providing ample shade, and in autumn, they turn a striking mix of red and orange hues, adding to its ornamental value. Furthermore, the tree’s strong wood and deep root system make it exceptionally stable, even in regions prone to severe weather conditions, such as the New Madrid Seismic Zone after which it is named.
