Acer davidii, also known as the ‘Snakebark Maple’, is an ornamental Acer with arching branches, shallowly lobed leaves, and a characteristic green-and-white striated bark, giving it year-round appeal. In autumn, dark green leaves transition to a vibrant gold and pink-brown fruit are borne, meaning that this elegant tree is ideal for a splash of autumn colour before its leaves are shed. Acer davidii prefers full sun or partial shade in moist, well-drained soil, and can be appreciated best when planted near to a pathway, where its unusual bark can be seen.
